(Simpsonville, KY) Near the rolling pastures where Kentucky’s thoroughbreds are raised, veterinarian Dr. Steven Allday believes he can extend the careers of not only his thoroughbred champion patients, but also horses of all breeds and ages.

Until now, the most effective way to help a thoroughbred run more comfortably was to give the animal injections of hyaluronic acid (HA). Unfortunately, the results lasted less than 36 hours, the time it took the horse to metabolize HA, a naturally occurring substance and major component of the synovial fluid that cushions animals’ joints.
