Sixteen years later, he hae earned $756,079.41 in the American cutting pen, a NCHA World Championship, a barrage of aged event wins, and multiple PCCHA Championship titles. He is also a NCHA accredited judge, and was the 2005 Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association President.

For nearly three decades, Richard has dedicated himself to honing his horsemanship skills and to passing this knowledge onto others. His expertise extends from the rodeo arena and high desert ranches of the west, to being a highly sought after trainer and horsemanship clinician. Richard's credentials include World Championship titles in the National Reined Cow Horse Association along with being an A-rated judge. In 2007, Richard was named champion of the West Coast Equine Experience "$10,000 Colt Starting Challenge." He was also presented with the 2007 Monty Roberts Equitarian Award for outstanding achievements in Horse/Human relationships. Richard was also honored to be named champion in the 2009 Road to the Horse - Colt Starting Challenge in Nashville, TN.

Nona Garson is a truly legendary horsewoman who has competed with show jumpers at the Olympics, the Pan American Games, and the World Championships. Garson grew up in New Jersey, where she began riding at the young age of six. She had a successful career as a junior, showing ponies and Junior Jumpers. After graduating from the junior ranks Garson opened The Ridge Farm in the 1970's with her father. She began competing internationally in 1995, after she won the Pan American Games Selection Trial aboard Barrick. Nona Garson rode her famous Russian Thoroughbred, Rhythmical, to a spot on the United States Equestrian show jumping team at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia."
